John 19:38-39—Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jews. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away. He was accompanied by Nicodemus, the man who earlier had visited Jesus at night.
Reflection for Holy Saturday, 03 April Verse
John 19:38-39 is a beautiful story that tells us how much loyalty, respect, and love Joseph and Nicodemus have for Jesus Christ. It reminds us that we must not put the sacrifices of our Lord Jesus Christ in vain. We must always uphold the knowledge we received from our elders, from our Bible studies, and other services where we gain food for our souls. We must continue to work hard to fight our lower selves. Faith over fears!
Our Prayer
Dear God Almighty, allow us to be always in Your proximity. Without Your grace and will, we are nothing. Please enter our hearts and don’t leave it. Let us understand Your choice and allow us to act accordingly, just like what our brother Jesus did. Your approval is our desire! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Blessed Saturday, Lounger!
