Maundy Thursday 2021

1 Corinthians 1:25For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.

Reflection for Maundy Thursday, 01 April Verse

For some, God’s foolishness is sending His only son Jesus Christ in this world to be crucified in exchange for redeeming us. For regular human beings like us, this is hideous and unfair. Why will you send your son to die for others? It’s something a man’s wisdom cannot comprehend! Do you remember the movie “Passion of Christ”? Jesus was beaten repeatedly and crucified to death. It appears how weak God’s protection is because He let him die. It seems how weak Jesus is because he let them abuse, curse, and kill him.

But there’s more to this than meets the human eye! God Himself endures the pain of seeing His only son die because of His love to us. Only God knows how to judge and decide which sacrifices are worthy. Will not be humbled God has done this for you?

I’m in awe! God’s wisdom is something I cannot, and no one can discern. But, we can follow what His son Jesus Christ did and told us to do. Love one another, care for one another in remembrance of his sacrifices and fulfill God’s will.

Our Prayer

Dear God Almighty, You Are Who You are. Your wisdom is more than us. Your love is more than we deserve. Thank you for accepting our faulty hearts and accepting us, Your children. Thank You, God, our Father, for giving us a chance every day to fulfill Your will. Please help us to overcome the challenges we face every day. Help us forgive ourselves and one another. Help us understand more of You so we can fulfill more of Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Blessed Thursday, Lounger!
