Holy Wednesday, 31 March Verse
John 13:13-15—“You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.” I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.
Reflection for Holy Wednesday, 31 March Verse
John 13:13 to 15 reminded us how Jesus would want us to live in this world. Despite having a significant community position, he washed his disciples’ feet to show his love and care for them. Despite him knowing that some of his disciples will deny, betray, and denounce him. He has still done it with love and humility.
Today, this is one of the most challenging for us. We feel so entitled that we forget others! We are becoming more self-centered rather than looking at the perspective where everybody is safe and happy. But, it is not too late! We can still renew ourselves with the help of our God Almighty. Let’s continue to strive harder, seek His will and glory!
Our Prayer
Lord God Almighty, we thank You every day. You are the highest of all! We lift and give glory to Your Holy Name! We ask Your guidance on us and show us Your will. Give us a heart that allows us to love others, forgive those who wronged us, and show compassion to every one of us. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Blessed Holy Wednesday, Lounger!
