Palm Sunday, 28 March 2021 Verse
John 13:21—After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, “I tell you the truth, one of you is going to betray me.”
Reflection for Palm Sunday, 28 March 2021 Verse
John 13:21 passage talks about when Jesus is about to fulfill his commitment to our God Almighty. In the story, we understand that Judas was the one who betrays Jesus for 30 pieces of silvers.
I look at Judas as if he is the most grievous sinner of all because of his betrayal for only 30 pieces of silvers against our Lord, Jesus Christ. But this passage made me realized that I am more than Judas. There are a couple of times that I betrayed our Lord for nothing! Despite the words of pearls of wisdom, I still fall to sin. It’s heart-breaking. How much more sufferings do our Lord Jesus endured for me? For us?
Absolutely, heart-breaking! Let’s make all the effort we can to abandon our ungodly habits. Let’s cry upon God’s mercy so He will give us the strength we need to fight the lust of betrayal. Let’s have a genuine desire from our hearts to be within God’s proximity and to honor His chosen son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our Prayer
God our Father, through your son’s name Jesus Christ, we praise and thank Your mercy and unconditional love to us! Despite us acting against Your approval, You continue to love, guide and bless us. Oh God, please hear our cries and give us the strength in mind, physical, and in our hearts not to betray Your mercy and love to us. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
Blessed Palm Sunday, Lounger!
