Here are four simple ways to nurture gratitude on a regular basis.

Thanking someone rationally.
Practicing this may help you appreciate an individual who has done something nice for you. There are times it is hard for us to give thanks verbally due to some differences or circumstances. But this mentally thanking someone will help you and eventually help you say it in person.
Keeping a gratitude diary.
Writing down the things that makes you happy can help your emotional and psychological state. Make a habit of jotting down big or small gifts you receive – material or non-material. This is also the reason why I document my stories and thoughts through blogging. Writing has given me the magic of preserving the past, enjoying the present, and ponder and plan about the future with gratitude in my heart.
Reflect and count your blessings.
Practicing such will help you improve a positive outlook in life. List them down and as you write and be specific. Think about the feelings you felt when something good happened to you. I do look back at my past and feel thankful about the perils I have passed.
Pray.
I believe that this is important. You do not need to be religious to pray. Praying to our God Almighty will help you develop humility and enhance your gratitude towards everything.
Being thankful matters. Who do you want to thank? Do it now. Take the time to express gratitude people.
