Do Not Harden Your Hearts

Please do not harden your hearts.

Hebrews 3:15 – As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.”

We pray and invoke our Lord’s grace and mercy regularly. But He doesn’t always give us the answer we want. We hear His voice but do not understand what He is saying. We feel as if we have been left holding the bag without assistance. As a result, we rebel and choose to make our own decisions. We have forgotten His words. Our hearts become hardened.

Hebrew 3:15 reminds us to be gentle and patient with our Lord, as He is to us. He will never abandon or neglect us. His responses are far superior to what we could expect or imagine. We may not understand now, but we will sooner or later. It is a test to see how strong we are, how solid our faith is, and how firmly we hold onto His words.

So, let us keep a welcoming heart towards God’s words and everyone!
